Hi, I’m Nick! I am currently a junior at UC Santa Cruz pursuing a major in Biomolecular Engineering with a concentration in Bioinformatics.
My dream job is working as a data scientist at an established biotech company, preferably around the field of genetics and precision medicine, but before then, I have the more immediate goal of preparing myself for a PhD program in either Bioinformatics or Data Science.
Here at the Community Safety Initiative’s Tech Cohort Supported by Google, I have had the opportunity as a fellow to work with interns from various backgrounds on topics such as job readiness, analysis of the tech industry,web design, and 3D modelling.
I found myself working as a fellow from my own experiences as an intern with Opportunities for All, an initiative that I believe has greatly shaped my sense of professionalism to this day. From the time that I have had the privilege to spend with this cohort, I have become well acquainted and impressed with everyone’s cooperation, work, and progress.
